North Augusta Star – AIKEN STANDARD

In support of Bill Hixon

I want to thank Bill Hixon for his willingness to represent us and serve our area in Columbia, for years of community service as a volunteer fireman since 1973 and as a constable for the State of South Carolina, and for the support of our local police departments.

Bill has demonstrated his leadership skills as chairman of Aiken Technical College and past board member of the Aiken County Commission of Higher Education. His dedication to education in our area and his wanting the best for our youth has given them every opportunity to succeed in life.

He has also served tirelessly on the Economic Development Partnership and as a S.C. Ambassador for Economic Development to bring good-paying jobs to our area, such as the MTU Detroit Diesel Co.

Bill is a local business owner of Hixon Realty, president of Hixon Insurance Inc. He is a member of First Baptist Church, North Augusta, and has served on the board of trustees and is a vital part of this church body.

Of all Bill’s strengths, his greatest qualities are his honesty, integrity and deep concern for this area and its people. We have a 7-year-old son, and I want to know that we have someone who cares about him and the other people from our District 83.

We need Bill Hixon in Columbia — a person we know and trust. Susan, Adam and I are proud to support Bill Hixon in his campaign for the House on June 8.
